Carrick Rugby club held a free Open Fun Day for children interested in learning about Mini Rugby and Mini Tag Rugby on Easter Saturday in Leitrim Gaels Community Pitch. The day consisted of Tag rugby for new and existing players, bouncy castles for all ages and tea and coffee for parents.

Carrick Rugby club held a free Open Fun Day for children interested in learning about Mini Rugby and Mini Tag Rugby on Easter Saturday in Leitrim Gaels Community Pitch. The day consisted of Tag rugby for new and existing players, bouncy castles for all ages and tea and coffee for parents.

The day was a great success on all counts with fantastic weather, great turnout improving in numbers year on year. Many thanks to those that organised including Seamus Connolly and all the mini coaches and parents, those that took part and hopefully we will see more new players for the new season 2013- 2014. Carrick on Shannon RFC gratefully thank Leitrim Community Pitch for use of the pitch and facilities.

Community Games Rugby: Leitrim Gaels Community Pitch will be hosting the Connacht Community Games Rugby Finals this Saturday, welcoming young Rugby enthusiasts from all over Connacht. Carrick RFC wish the Under-11s team every success in this tournament.

Ladies: Carrick Ladies are due to take on Sligo RFC Ladies in the Connacht Cup on April 7, Carrick Rugby Club wish the Ladies every success in this game.
