Next Saturday, all members are asked to make a special effort to turn up for training as we will have a representative from Kooga Sports assisting us with fitting all mini players with their new Club jerseys to keep.

Last years U-12s are also asked to attend for their fitting. Thanks to our Jersey Sponsors, Jerseys will only cost €10 next November for all registered Mini players to keep. For non registered players, jerseys will be in the region of €30.

Home Blitz: On November 2, we will have our first home Blitz of the season in Leitrim Village Community Pitch against Creggs. Parents are asked to get involved and reciprocate the hospitality CRFC Minis receive when we travel to away blitzes. There are plenty of unseen, backroom tasks that need volunteers to fulfil them. Coach Donal Woods is the Blitz Co-ordinator for the Home Blitz and (parent) Linda Reynolds is Catering Manager. Parents are asked to contact Linda on 086 3216565 in relation to providing a small amount of food for our guests. If you don’t have time to make sandwiches or bake yummy cakes, please contact Donal on the morning of the Blitz for small tasks that can make the day a great success.

Your Club, Your Country tickets: It is that time of the year again and CRFC are selling ‘Your Club, Your Country’ tickets for €10 each. With 100% of the proceeds going back to the club, we really need parents to help us sell our allocation of tickets or if that’s not possible, buy a ticket! CRFC will be encouraging children in sport for a long time to come and we need the assistance of our community to provide facilities to give every young player the opportunity to play rugby. So go on, don’t wait to be asked, sell a book of tickets or buy one, thanks.

Cavan Mini Blitz Update: Last Saturday CRFC Minis travelled to Cavan for their second Blitz of the season. There was a fantastic turnout at all age levels and it was a fantastic morning of rugby from start to finish.

Senior Men’s Team: Sundays last fixture v Sligo 2nd was cancelled due to a waterlogged pitch at Castlecara. The men travel to Ballinarobe on Novemember 3.

Shannonsiders women’s team: The Siders women wish to extend their sincere sympathies to fellow team mate Natasha Pennaman on the recent passing of her father. Is féidir Suaimhneas síoraí dá anam. The game v Castlebar on Sunday last was postponed as a mark of respect. The team welcome Tuam to Longford on November 3.
