There was a great turnout of players and parents who travelled to the Lakeside Centre in Ballyshannon. The rugby matched the weather and it was a great morning all round. Well done to everyone for playing great rugby. On Sunday, plenty of preparation was put into our first home blitz at Leitrim Community pitch. Lansdowne RFC Minis travelled down in three bus loads andwith plenty of games played this was another great success for Carrick RFC Minis. Well done to all the players for their commitment to their teams and to the parents who helped out with the hospitality of our guests.

U13: Carrick hosted Monivea on Saturday for their first home league game of the season. The first half saw two well matched teams play an exciting end to end game, with Carrick going in at half time trailing 10-0. Fierce Carrick defending countered tremendous Monivea pressure for the first 15 minutes of the second half. However, Carrick eventually succumbed to a flurry of Monivea tries to go down 32-0. Carrick RFC would like to send best wishes for a speedy recovery to stalwart flanker Eddie Coyle who was injured last week at Longford. U13s training will be from 10:30 to 12:30 each Sunday, starting this week. On Sunday, Carrick U14s had a home game against NUIG Youth Academy which resulted in another win for Carrick in the league.
