Carrick-on-Shannon Rugby Club is all set for their special fundraising Lions Breakfast this Saturday, June 22, in Murtagh’s Bar.

Special guests will be Connacht Rugby legend Michael Swift and Heineken Cup star Dave McSharry.

Ticket price is €15 for adults and €10 for Under 18s. We also have a three test package, €40 for Adults and €25 for Under 18s. Price includes breakfast, match, questions & answers session and we’ll also be raffling off a lions jersey for each of the tests. Doors open and breakfast served from 10am

Congratulations: to ladies team member Carina Lennon and her husband James on the arrival of their beautiful daughter Molly on June 6. Good to see a new addition to the ladies section.

Tag Rugby: Tag commenced fully on Thursday last in what was an exciting start to the league. Since the Castlerea Crushers, winners from the last two years, had bowed out of the competition, it opens up the possibilities to all teams entered.

Breast Cancer Fundraiser: Some of our ladies joined in on the “Nanairnians” team to face Cavan RFC Ladies in a fancy dress fundraiser in aid of breast cancer recently. €500 was raised from gate fees and raffle.
