Sligo Rovers impressive start to defence of their Airtricty Premier Division title continued in fine form over the weekend as the champions recorded two 3-0 wins in the capital.

On Friday night, Ian Baraclough’s side had far too much fire-power for Bohs in Dalymount Park. Raffaele Cretaro opened the scoring in the second minute and Aaron Greene’s powerful strike on the half-hour mark doubled Sligo’s advantage by the interval. Anthony Elding put the result beyond doubt with a far-post header 20 minutes from time.

Rovers 100% wining record was continued at UCD’s Bellfield Bowl on Monday with another 3-0 win, Aaron Greene netting in either half along with David Cawley’s strike ensured Sligo collected another three points against a UCD side who started well but fell apart under Sligo’s pressure.
