Seniors: Carrick Town senior teams recent good form continued at Cartron United’s ground in Sligo on Sunday last in a crucial match at the lower end of the table.

Carrick played well in the first half creating a few good chances but went in a goal down at halftime with the hosts leading 1-0. Carrick came out and played some nice flowing football in the second half, bossing the game to the end and were rewarded with three goals from Liam McTiernan, Niall Flanagan and Ray Mulvey to run out 3-1 winners and get the three points.

It was a super all round display and if Carrick can keep their good form then staying in the Super League is within reach.

This win follows on the back of a 2-0 win over St. Johns last week in the Showgrounds. Goals in either half from Niall Comerton gave Carrick the points. They now have two games remaining.

U-13: Our Under 13s progressed to the League Final with a hard fought 4-3 victory over Strand Celtic on Thursday evening last. Diarmuid Kelleher with 2 goals, Sam Barnes and Paul Keaney were on the scoresheet. We now face Real Tubber in the Final on Wednesday next at the IT pitch in Sligo. Man of the Match in this game was full back Jack Flynn.
