Race night with a twist

The Midland Motor Club are hosting a night at the races, with a twist, on the October Bank Holiday weekend.

The Midland Motor Club are hosting a night at the races, with a twist, on the October Bank Holiday weekend.

Normally, race nights involve horses but the Motor Club have decided to make a slight alteration. The Motorclub decided to mix it up and use cars instead of horses. The idea came about at a Club meeting. Instead of a video showing horses running around a track the members are going to build a track and race model cars around it using string and elbow grease. There will be ten races with four cars in each race and spot prizes will be raffled on the night, also a cash prize will be given to the fastest car around the track.

St. Faithleachs GAA Club House will be hosting this event and it will kick off at 8.30 pm sharp on Sunday, October 28. A fun night is guaranteed for all.
