The Woodies DIY National Uneven Ages and Novice Cross Country championships, which were postponed the weekend before Christmas due to snow, will go ahead at the Charleville Estate, Tullamore, on Sunday next.

The entry will be the same as was intended on the original date but, of course, there may be some individuals who would have run on the first occasion who may not be available next Sunday.

A number of Leitrim athletes had qualified from the Connacht Uneven Ages Championships in Taughmaconnell early in November, including Mohill's Dervla Beirne in the Under 13 race as well as Laura O'Dowd of Ballinamore and Daire Farrell of Carrick in the Under 17, the latter two running outside their age group.
