Ballinamore gears up for Festival races tonight

Runners will flock to Ballinamore tonight (Wednesday) for the fourth annual Ballinamore Festival 10Km and 5 Km Road Races.

Runners will flock to Ballinamore tonight (Wednesday) for the fourth annual Ballinamore Festival 10Km and 5 Km Road Races.

The race gets underway at 7.30 and offers runners the unique chance to pick from two distances. Registration commences at Sports Hall on Enniskillen Road at 6.00 and each entrant will receive one of the new special race t-shirts at registration.

Festival underage races, starting at 6.15, will be held on grass in St Felim’s College Ground adjacent the Sports Hall as follows: U9 300m, U11 500m, U13 600m.

There are numerous category prizes and spot prizes for which joggers and walkers will qualify, including prizes for breaking the course records.There will be the usual refreshments and a swift presentation of prizes. The Ballinamore Festival programme after the races includes a free open air concert by Patrick Feeney followed by entertainment in thirteen licensed premises.
