After seeing his charges more than play their part in last Sunday's captivating Connacht Junior Hurling Final, it was understandable St Mary's manager Kevin Glancy was full of pride after the final whistle sounded in Cavan.
"I'm very proud of the way the lads played, they really gave it everything," said Kevin. "We haven't had a competitive game since last October so it was very difficult to maintain training. The boys really did everything I asked and we're really very proud of the way they played."
Reflecting on the game that saw Barna na Forbatha emerge victorious by three points, Kevin noted, "Every game, every team will get a period of dominance and they got their's either side of half time but I don't think there was any turning point as such, really we still had the chances from start to finish that could have won it for us."
