It was yet another hugely successful Lions Breakfast in Murtagh’s Bar this morning.

It was yet another hugely successful Lions Breakfast in Murtagh’s Bar this morning.

Feeling a bit disappointed at BODs exclusion and not knowing how the Lions would fare, rugby fans still turned out to support O’Brien, Sexton and Bowe. And they weren’t disappointed as all three performed superbly to see the Lions take their first series since 1997 with a 43-16 demolison of Australia.

On hand to analyse all the action was Victor Costello and Shane Layden who did an outstanding job. The club would like to thank the lads for giving their time and their continued support to the club over last few months. We’ve taken some video of Victor and Shane in action which we’ll get up shortly.

Finally, the club would like to thank our main sponsor Kenny Murtagh and his staff for looking after everyone and helping us host 3 very successful breakfasts, top team.

Ladies: The ladies team said a fond farewell to Maeve Rowley, who moves to Wicklow to commence a new job as an environmental scientist. Maeve has been a member in the ladies team since 2010 and her presence will be sorely missed in the back row. The club would like to take this opportunity to wish Maeve well in her new job.
