Aughavas face tough task in Junior

They may be the only first string team in the Pyramid Bookmakers Junior A Championship but Aughavas will find it much tougher than many would expect after being drawn in a tough group.

Now under the charge of Ray McBrien, Aughavas will be looking to make a big impact in 2015 but they find themselves in a group with traditionally strong second teams from Allen Gaels and Annaduff while Glencar/Manorhamilton’s third string are also in the group.

Group One looks a particularly tough quartet with St. Patrick’s Dromahair, Mohill, Kiltubrid and Carrigallen all paired together and all four are usually among the teams that make an impact at this grade.

In the final group, Drumkeerin, Ballinamore Sean O’Heslin’s, Melvin Gaels and Gortletteragh make an equally intriguing group but as always in the Junior grade, much will depend on who is available to teams this Summer.
