As part of their newly developed strategy for reviving Scór, Coiste Scór Chonnacht are hosting the launch of Scór 2016 in the Centre of excellence Bekan Ballyhaunis, on Tuesday November 3.

As part of their newly developed strategy for reviving Scór, Coiste Scór Chonnacht are hosting the launch of Scór 2016 in the Centre of excellence Bekan Ballyhaunis, on Tuesday November 3.

This promises to be a huge night’s entertainment with previous Connacht and all Ireland winners taking to the stage once again.

Scór Chonnacht Cathaoirleach, Gearóid Mag Samhráin launched the initiative saying “ With everyone doing their part we can breathe renewed life into Scór as it approaches its 50th year”.

The Bean an Ti for the night is none other than Carole Coleman of RTE, renowned author and broadcaster. Carole has represented St Mary’s Gaa club in Leitrim in Scór, and will be giving a rendition of her favourite ballad on the night.

Also in attendance will be the Caothaoirleacht Scór Naisiúnta Antoin Mac Gabhan and Runai Siobhan Ni Chúnna. The launch will be done by Cathairleacht of Comhairle Chonnacht Mick Rock a former participant in Scór himself.

Coiste Scór Chonnachta are going to great lengths to revitalise Scór and this launch is part of the strategy. County board and Club officers from the province, and anybody interested in good nights entertainment is invited to attend what promises to be a huge night entertainment.

Admission is free and everybody is welcome.

The Connacht Scór Strategy 2016 was devised in a collaboration between the Connacht Scór Committee and the officers of the five County Boards.
