Ladies Board launch Juice Plus 10Km Dawn Run

Runners will get an early start on Saturday, June 23, when the Juice Plus 10k Dawn Run takes place from Pairc Sean Mac Diarmada in Carrick-on-Shannon.

This is the second year for this road race/walk which is being organised by the Leitrim Ladies Gaelic Football Board as a major fundraiser and this unique early morning event and attracted great interest last year and the organisers see potential for this year to surpass last year’s participation.

The Dawn Run is sponsored by Damian Brennan from Cloone, supplier of the Juice Plus product. Damien is a former Leitrim Senior team selector and father of Leitrim stars Sinead, Aisling and Lorraine Brennan.

This year we have the use of Pairc Sean Mc Diarmada GAA facilities for the registration ,catering, baggage area on the morning. The route is very scenic and safe, all information can be viewed on www.runireland.ie.

Carrick Garda Siochana and the Order of Malta will also be present on the morning and the organisers have also applied for an Athletics Ireland permit which is still pending.

To register for Juice Plus 10k Dawn Run, there are pre registration venues on Saturday, June 16, in the Landmark Hotel from 11am-1pm, in the Longford Arms Hotel from 12-2pm, the Radisson Sligo 12-2pm, the West County Hotel Dublin 12-2pm . You can collect your race number at these registration points.

Walkers, joggers, runners are all welcome. Entry fee €15. You can also register on www.runireland.ie or on the morning of the run at Pairc Sean Mc Diarmada from 5am-5.45 am on Saturday, June 23.

The first 100 home will have their times recorded and showers, light breakfast and spot prizes post event. There will be a €100 prize for the first man and first woman home. Prizes for 2nd and 3rd also, man & woman.
