Melvin Gaels innovative Gaelic4Mothers & Others programme continues to go from strength to strength.
The Connacht Gaelic4mothers and Others Blitz took place in the Centre of Excellence in Ballyhaunis last Saturday, July 6. A total of nine teams, hailing from Mayo, Roscommon, Sligo, Galway & Leitrim participated in this event.
The Centre of Excellence was a wonderful venue for the women to showcase their talents. A fantastic day of fun was had by all.
Melvin Gaels acquitted themselves well on the day and demonstrated that the investment in this programme over the past three years by the Melvin Gaels GAA Club has paid dividends.
We would like to acknowledge in particular coaches Daniel Branley and Stephen McGurrin who have given so generously of their time, knowledge and expertise to develop this programme on behalf of Melvin Gaels.
We would also like to thank Irene Durkan who took on the job of Melvin Gaels mentor on the day and ensured that a spirit of fun prevailed.
Melvin Gaels Gaelic4mothers and Others train on Wednesday evenings at 8pm in Melvin Park, Kinlough. New members always welcome. Contact Anne for more information 0871337968.
