The Ballinamore Community College team of Alan Doonan, Alan Wrynn, Aaron McLoughlin and David Wrynn who took part in the Connacht Schools Hanball Finals.
Connacht Colleges 40x20 Championship: Ballinamore Community College represented Leitrim in the Connacht Finals played in St Mary’s College Galway on Saturday. Taking part were David Wrynn (Junior), Alan Wrynne (Intermediate) and Alan Doonan and Aaron McLoughlin (Intermediate Doubles). All came up against stronger opposition from Mayo Colleges in the Semi-Finals.

Connacht Cumann na mBunscol Finals: The Connacht Finals were played in Salthill on Sunday with St Patrick’s Drumshanbo and St Caillin’s Fenagh representing Leitrim. In the U11 competition, Drumshanbo’s Ciaran McMorrow finished third in the Boys Singles, Ronan Moran and Conor Flood fourth in the Doubles and Edel O’Donnell fourth in Girls Singles. In the U13 competition, St. Caillin’s Fenagh’s Fergal McLoughlin and James Wrynn took silver in Boys U13 Doubles and Cormac Scollan took bronze in Boys U13 Singles.
