Manorhamilton is gearing up for the North Leitrim Glen’s Run next Saturday with preparations well advanced.
The testing and very popular North Leitrim Glen’s Run event will draw runners and walkers to Manorhamilton in their droves.
Registration will open in the Bee Park Community Centre in Manorhamilton on Friday next, September 12, from 5.30 to 9.30 and people who have not registered on line can do so in person.
Once registered, participants may then collect their Race Number/Timing BIBs and Goodie Bag.
On Saturday, September 13, registration opens again from 8.30 in the Bee Park Community Centre with registration closing at 11 am.
The official launch of the event will take place at 11.05 with music by DJ Dave and the Warm-Up Club at 11.15, a pre-race aerobic and warm-up exercises in the car park of the Bee Park Community Centre
Runnes and walkers for the 10K and half-marathon will assemble at 11.40 and walk to the Market House Square on Main Street with the 10K race starting at 12 noon and the half-marathon getting underway at 12.10.
Participants in the 5K fun event will gather at 12.50 at the Bee Park Community Centre with the event starting at 1.00 on the Park Road.
Post race physiotherapy, refreshments and entertainment will be held in Bee Park Community Centre with the day finishing at 3 pm with the unveiling a plaque in Bee Park Community Centre for the National Learning Network in memory of Sharon Loughlin.
