New Leitrim GAA County Board Chairman Terence Boyle told the audience at the Leitrim Supporters Club launch that the new Centre of Excellence in Annaduff will be soon completed and without huge debt to the county.

“We have been coming up here year on year and talking about Annaduff,” said Terence, “but thankfully, the end is in sight. We have finally secured funding to finish out Annaduff and we will have it up and running in a few weeks time.

“We have the finances now to complete the project and we will get Annaduff across the line without any huge debt to the County or the clubs. It has been a long process but it will be well worth it in the end, we will have state of the art facilities and no debt.”

Terence stressed that the money raised by the Leitrim Supporters Club is being well used - “All our funds go to the development of our teams and we have been making gradual progress over the last number of years. There is a lot of work being done behind the scenes, not just at county level, but at club level.

“No longer is Leitrim the whipping boys and they are going out on any given day and expecting to win, it is great to see such a positive attitude coming into Leitrim football. We are not just there to make up the numbers any more, we are competing and competing at the highest level at all ages.”
