The controversy over Ballinamore Sean O’Heslin’s disqualification from the Leiriu Act in Scor continues to rumble with Aughavas GAA Club looking to be awarded medals after they were disqualified from last year’s competition.

O’Heslin’s stance has seen them win a lot of support but it also prompted Aughavas GAA Club to start a Facebook campaign to have medals to their Leiriu act who were disqualified by the Leitrim Scor committee last year.

Aughavas PRO Gerry Gallogly, in his club notes, said “I see where Sean O’Heslin’s were banned from Connacht Scor last week. This is not the first time this happened as our Scor novelty act team were disqualified last year as well, the only difference is that Sean O’Heslin’s received their Leitrim Scor medals whereas Aughavas team did not.

“So we are starting a campaign which you can log in on Aughavas facebook. Bring back the novelty act in Scor and give Aughavas their Leitrim Scor medals that they rightfully won last year.”
