Leitrim manager Mickey Moran will be without six players for next season's FBD Connacht Football League after the Connacht Council revealed the nominated players for the 2001 competitions.

Leitrim open their 2011 season on Sunday, January 9, when Ballinamore's Pairc Sheain Ui Eslin hosts Mayo followed by clashes against Roscommon in Elphin and against Galway/Mayo IT on the following Sundays.

Under the competition's rules, the third level colleges taking part in the FBD League have first claim on three players from each county.

Dromahair's Kevin Conlan and Annaduff's Dermot Reynolds who both saw action against Roscommon in this year's Connacht Championship are claimed by NUIG and Sligo IT respectively.

Aughnasheelin's Sean McWeeney is also claimed by NUIG while Glencar/Manor duo Paddy Maguire and Adrian Croal will see action with Sligo IT.

Leitrim's only other County panelist claimed by the colleges is Carrigallen's Eoin Ward who is called up by Galway Mayo IT.
