Bus Eireann have announced a three-year extension to their sponsorship of the GAA’s Féile competitions. Bus Éireann sponsored the two U14 competitions for the first time in 2011.
The two Féile final competitions will involve more than 4,000 boys and girls across the disciplines of Football, Hurling, Camogie, Ladies Football, Handball and Rounders as clubs from all over Ireland and a number of overseas units come together to compete for what are the GAA’s youngest national titles.
GAA President Liam O’Neill said “Like the GAA, Bus Éireann reaches into every corner of the country – and further afield – and their support of the next generation of talented players, both footballers and hurlers, through their sponsorship of the Féile competitions is a tacit acknowledgement of the role our Féile competitions play the development of our underage club players.”
CEO of Bus Éireann, Martin Nolan added “Féile Peile na nÓg and Féile na nGael are fantastic examples to young people of the value of teamwork, of the pride in representing your local community, and how to enjoy playing sport in a fun and respectful way.”
Féile Peile na nÓg takes place in Laois & Offaly on the weekend of June 22-24, while Dublin will host Féile na nGael between July 5-7.
