It’s that time of year again, so why not try and grow your own vegetables in the lovely environment of Lough Melvin Eco Park. There is still a few allotments available at €20 per allotment. So please contact Pat at 087 2643304 asap to avoid disappointment.

Tribal Body Fitness

Progressive circuit classes continue in Kinlough Community Centre every Wednesday and Friday mornings, 10am (level1) and 11am (level 2). All welcome to come and join in. €5 per class. Contact Gareth 087 7989876 for more information.

Sympathy

Deepest sympathy is extended to the relatives at friends of Terry Connolly (Rogers), Gurteendarragh, Kinlough, whose death took place last week. May he Rest in Peace.

Table Quiz

A table quiz will take place in McGloin’s Bar, Kinlough on next Friday, 15th March starting at 9.30pm. €20 entry fee per table of four. Quiz and raffle prizes in aid of local St. Vincent de Paul Society. Please come along to support and enjoy a night out.

Askill Whist Drive

There will be no whist drive in Askill community on 17th March (St Patricks Day). Results from the last whist held on Sunday, 10th March were Mary McNelis, Kathleen Burns, Isobel Fox, Brian Richardson, Michael Donagher, Ellen Ward, Gerry Burns. Raffle Winners were Ellen Ward, Anna Corrigan, Mary McNelis and Mabel McNulty. Next Whist will be Sunday the 24th March.

Fundraising Cake Sale

A fundraising cake sale will be held on Sunday March 24th after 11am Mass in aid of Kinlough Pre-school.

GLASS MOSAIC EVENING CLASSES: Create your own unique artworks in this introduction to fused glass. You will be able to make coloured glass mosaic pendants, brooches, and a glass panel which you can transform into a plate in the kiln. All items made during the workshop are yours to keep. Louise Rice, an experienced instructor, will demonstrate each step and guide you through the process. Open to all. No experience required. COMMUNITY GARDEN PROJECT: Course commencing Monday, 8th April 9.30am – 11.30am at The Benwiskin and will run from April - Sept for approx. 22 weeks. Tutor Ciara Barrett from the Organic Centre in Rossinver. Contact us for further details and to register your interest.

SCOUTS: Scout troop meet every Monday. Beavers (children aged 6, 7, & 8) from 5 - 6pm and Cubs (children aged 9, 10 and 11) from 6 - 7 pm.

PARENT & TODDLERS: Meet every Monday and Tuesday in The Benwiskin Centre 10am, to 12noon. New people always welcome!

CARD GAMES: Every Tuesday night at 9pm. Hosted by volunteers Pat McGowan and Johnny Duignan.

Rainbow Camera Club

The cross-border Rainbow Camera Club will be holding its March meeting in The Cabin, Rossinver on Thursday, 14 March from 8pm to 10pm. The club currently has members from Counties Leitrim, Sligo, Donegal, Cavan and Fermanagh. This month we shall be looking at how to resize images without losing too much quality so as to make them easier to email. After the break there will be a slide shows of recent photographs that the members have produced. We shall also be finalising details for our photographic shoot planned for St Patrick’s Day.
