Bingo continues each week in Ballinamuck at 8.30pm. There are lots of good prizes to be won weekly. The Bingo continues on Tuesday nights in Ballinamore with big prizes paid out. Your support would be welcome.

Parades time again

The now annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be held in Arva Town on Sunday, March 17th next. A big crowd is expected as usual.

The shamrock is plentiful

The shamrock is in plentiful supply this year owing to the mild winter. Everyone should wear the three-leaf sprig of shamrock on St. Patrick’s Day in honour of the Saint. Some don’t bother at all. In recent years, the whole lot has turned into a drinking session sadly.

Dry spell welcome

The few dry weeks past has given people a break from the rain. Some say it’s been raining for 12 months so there is a bit of catching up to be done in farm work which is ongoing at the moment.

Clocks go forward

The clocks go forward to summer time on Saturday, March 30th next.

Carrigallen Ploughing Competition

The annual County Leitrim Ploughing Competition takes place on Easter Saturday, March 30th next, weather permitting. A large crowd is expected on the day.
