St Patrick’s Day Parade
The Moone Boys, aka David Rawle and Ian O’Reilly, will be our special guests and Grand Marshals at Boyle’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Sunday, 17th March. The parade will start at 3.30pm from Mockmoyne through St. Patrick Street, Bridge Street and on to The Crescent. All floats are asked to assemble at Carty’s Garage at 3pm sharp. The parade will continue on down Patricks Street, Bridge St past the viewing podium on the Boyle Bridge and then continue to the Crescent where it finishes. TThe committee are inviting all business, club, organisation, school, community, voluntary groups and people from other areas to enter floats to make it the liveliest and energetic ever parade, Entry is free. Fabulous Fashion Show
Boyle Horse & Summer Show is hosting a fashion show on Friday March 22nd in St. Joseph’s Hall, Boyle at 8.30 pm, doors open 8.00 pm. Tickets €10

Easter Fun Day
A cake sale will be held on Good Friday in Ballinafad Hall after 3 o’clock devotions and an Easter Family Fun Day on Easter Sunday in the playground. These fund-raisers are needed to raise the remaining money for the playground insurance.
Boyle Golf Club
There was a large turnout for the Captain’s Drive on Sunday March 3rd with Captains Sean Heslin and Gloria Hogan opening the new Golfing Year. The Scramble that followed was won by Colm Loftus, Carmel Conlon and Michael Rushe, 2nd Charlie O’Donnell, Moira Egan, Carmel McGarry and Michael Reid, 3rd Vincent Egan, Joey Mullaney, Aisling Gaughran and Owen Garvin (known hereafter as “the ducks”) At the presentation Captain Sean Heslin welcomed the Lady Captain Gloria Hogan, the Men’s President Jim Mooney, the Lady President Claire Cryan and all the members. He thanked Charlie, Willie and Michael for the great condition of the course and specially thanked Terry Canning for the steps on the 11th saying that they are a great addition to the course. He said that all volunteers are a great asset to the club and that their efforts were much appreciated. Competition Secretary Michael Rush was thanked for his great work in organising the competition and Mary was thanked for her excellent hospitality both before and after the drive in. The house committee were thanked for organising the bar. Thanks also to Jim Mooney who acted as photographer on the day.The March draw was also held the Sunday evening. Jackpot winners were Mandy Toolan €100, runners up Claire and John Cryan and Liam Mullaney €50 each. Thanks to all who took part.

The Spring Royals trip to the K Club was a great success with thirty six players taking part. Well done to Pat and Stephen Gannon who are leading on 46pts. Thanks to Terry and Tom for arranging and we look forward to the return leg in Boyle on Saturday April 6th. In other news from the weekend congratulations to Willie Tiernan who after a successful audition in the Glenroyal has been booked for their summer cabaret! A meeting of all those interested in volunteering on the course or in the clubhouse will take place in the Clubhouse at 8.00pm on Thursday, 14th March. All support appreciated. The greens will be scarified Monday & Tuesday, voluntary support appreciated. A club outing to Ballinrobe Golf Club will take place on Saturday April 13th.
