Local artist exhibition
Commencing this Friday, 15th March, Molly Richardson, of Newtowngore celebrates her 1st Joint Art Exhibition at the Solas Art Gallery, Ballinamore. The Solas Art Gallery Exhibition for emerging artists, “FOUR”, will be opening on Fri 15th March at 7.30pm. The member artists chosen for this year’s show are Molly Richardson, Newtowngore; Jim Richard, Shercock, Co. Cavan; Isabella Bazzani, Blacklion, Co. Cavan and Stephen Costello, Cloonfad, Co. Roscommon. This exhibition is an interesting mix of four completely different types of art: sculpture; photography; paintings in oil and watercolour. Molly Richardson’s oil paintings are a calming group of flowers, land and seascapes. Starting to paint only a few years ago and from a farming background, Molly feels that since she has started to paint she appreciates the changing seasons and how the sunshine lights up the landscapes.
The exhibition will be opened by local lady Jennifer Richardson. Jennifer is a member of the Solas Committee and a professional photographer whose keen eye and appreciation for detail makes her the ideal person to launch this exhibition. The exhibition is open until Sat 6th April, gallery opening times Tues –Sat, 10-6pm. For any enquiries about the gallery or this exhibition please contact Gail or Ben, 071 9644210; look at our website, solasart.ie or join us on Facebook.
