Our thanks to all who helped with the Holy Week Ceremonies and special thanks to our Celebrant, Fr. Kevin O’Rourke. Mass on Thursday at 7.30 pm. Vigil Mass for Divine Mercy Sunday on Saturday at 8.00 pm. Servers are Group 2 with Mary Mc Girl-Prior in charge. Holy Hour with readings, prayers, music and Chaplet of Divine Mercy on Sunday at 3.00 pm. Any Altar Servers who have not yet collected their Easter gifts from the Sacristy are asked to do so as soon as possible. . Dancers!

A fun night of Musical Bingo and ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ on Saturday 6th April in the Lough Allen Hotel, Drumshanbo. Tickets available from: Lough Allen Hotel, Tina 086 8171770, Anna 086 1652549. Swimming Lessons

Adults one to one and childrens group and one to one swimming lessons commencing in the Lough Allen Hotel, Drumshanbo. Childrens group lessons take place on a Tuesday evening and Saturday morning, €60 for 6 weeks, 8 children per class, 45 minutes per class. Adults and children’s one to one take place on a Monday, Wednesday or Thursday evening, €110 for 6 weeks, 45 minute classes. Discount for more than 2 children per family. Ladies G.A.A. Fundraiser

Aughawillan Ladies are holding a clothing recycling drive to raise funds for Aughawillan LGFA. Please donate all your clean, unwanted clothes, bed-linen, towels and textiles including shoes, bags, belts and soft toys. Mobile phones accepted separate from clothes. Please drop items off to Aughawillan GAA Grounds on Saturday 13th & Sunday, 14th of April.

Sympathy

Sympathy is extended to Mrs. Mary Gaffney, Corrala on the death of her brother Mr. Jim Shenan, Clodrum, Killeshandra. His funeral took place on Good Friday following the Liturgical Service in St. Brigid’s Church, Killeshandra to the adjoining cemetery. The death has also taken place of Miss Pauline, Tierney, Munlough. Her funeral took place on Sunday last following Mass of the Resurrection in St. Mogue’s Church, Templeport to the adjoining cemetery. Sympathy is extended to her mother Teresa, sister, Rachel, her brother Stephen, her grandmother Annie, uncles, aunts, cousins, in-laws and other relatives. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a nanamacha.

Active Age Snippets

Chairperson Tess Gallogly presided at the weekly meeting of Drumreilly Active Age Group on last Wednesday in the Community Centre. The main items discussed were the Fenagh Social on Tuesday April 9th, the setting up of Art Classes and a coach outing. All members are asked to attend on this Wednesday for further decision making on the above matters.

Time Change

Bingo fans are reminded that the Bingo session in Drumreilly Community Centre will start at 9.00 p.m. on next Friday night April 5th.

Recalling April 1990

The following officers were elected at the A.G.M. of Drumreilly Community Centre: Chairman: Fr. John Sexton; Secretary: Bridie Mulligan; Treasurers: Tom Fee and Charlie McCartin. Twenty eight tables took part in a very successful Table Quiz in Drumreilly Community Centre. The Q.M. was Mr. Pádraig Mulligan. Drumlea School team prevailed over Fenagh on a score of 4-8 to 3-0 in the first round of the Cumann na mBunscoileanna competition. The following did duty for Drumlea: Niall Gallogly, Noel Rourke, John Hehle, Olive Looby, Ciaran Holahan, Brendan Smith, Connell McGovern (1-1), Gene Connolly (1-4), Anne Lunney, Noel McGirl (1-3), Noel Gannon (1-0), Tony Lunney and Joanne Holahan. The deaths took place of Mr. Pat McDermott. Mullaghboy, and of Gubbs-born Joe Farrell, England R.I.P.
