Eivers Lane Childcare Centre launch

You are invited to Eivers Lane Childcare’s launch day for its new outdoor facilities on Saturday, 6th April from 12.00 – 2.00pm at Eivers Lane Childcare Centre, Mohill. We will officially open our new covered outdoor area, staff room and outdoor play equipment which was erected as a result of funding we were fortunate enough to receive in the past year. As well as showing our appreciation for funding received, this will also be a chance for the public to view the facilities which are on offer in this state of the art childcare centre. Light refreshments will be served on the day, and a bouncy castle and entertainment for the kids. We really hope that you can join in our celebrations on the day and look forward to meeting with you.

Midland Retired Secondary Teachers Association AGM

Midland Retired Secondary Teachers Association will hold AGM on Tuesday, April 9th at 11.30am in Longford Library. Lunch will follow and we then travel to Longford Garden Centre, Drumlish Road for 3pm where Laura Shaw will give demonstration and answer questions on all things related to gardening. Are you up for the GOAL Reek Challenge?

Walking and hiking enthusiasts from all over Ireland are already signing up to take part in this year’s ‘Reek Sunday’ in aid of GOAL on Sunday, July 27th. Participants who would like to climb Croagh Patrick for GOAL will receive a ‘Reek Challenge Pack’ that includes a sponsorship card, a GOAL Reek Challenge t-shirt, water and energy bars, alongside informational leaflets about GOAL and the climb itself. There is a sponsorship target of €150 per person, with all proceeds going directly towards GOAL’s programmes in the developing world. Resilience for Life Adult Programme

A 6 Week Structured Programme delivered by a Registered Psychologist, aimed at developing an individual’s ability to positively respond to negative and challenging events in their life using a resilience toolbox – an array of strategies they can use to reduce stress and overcome the challenges they face. The programme focuseson the specific skills of thought challenging and thinking in positive ways, mindfulness, relaxation and attention training, identifying role models, building support networks, problem-solving strategies and conflict resolutions, all underpinned by keeping healthy in mind and body.

Participants will receive a Certificate for Completion of Course. Course Facilitator: Dr Michelle Howard, Reg. Psychol., Ps.S.I., Registered Psychologist. Dates: 23rd April, 30th April, 7th May, 14th May, 21st May, 28th May. Venue: Breffni Family Resource Centre, Breffni Crescent, Carrick-on-Shannon. Show in aid of Stop Suicide & Leitrim Multiple Sclerosis

The Co. Leitrim ‘Sweet Spirit Country & Gospel Choir’ based in Mohill and under the musical direction of Tish Dunleavy will be staging their show in the Cornmill Theatre, Carrigallen on Friday night, 12th April at 8.30pm. Proceeds from this show will be donated to the two very deserving organisations - Leitrim based ‘Stop Suicide’ and Leitrim Multiple Sclerosis. Ladies Get Fit

Ladies after Easter you can get fit with group classes and find the motivation to stick to your weight loss plan. New 6 week fitness programme starting, Monday the 8th of April at 6.30pm in the Kilbracken Arms Hotel, Carrigallen and Thursday the 11th of April at 9.15pm in Drumreilly Hall. No class in Drumreilly 4th of April, class is in Ballinamore Hall Thursday at 8pm instead.

New 6 week fitness programme starting Monday the 8th and Thursday the 11th of April at 8pm in Ballinamore Community Centre. Also if you want to start exercising join our Tuesday and Thursday at 11am class in the SOH GAA Gym.
