Melvin Gaels Lotto

The numbers drawn in the Lotto Draw held in McGloin’s, Kinlough on Sunday night, May 19th were 3, 11, 17 and 24. There was no Jackpot winner. Other winners were, €40 James Warnock, Kinlough, €20 each Martin McLaughlin, Kinlough, Evelyn Rooney, Edenville and Marcus Mulligan, Laughta, Kinlough. Next draw in the Dew Drop Inn, Tullaghan, on Sunday June 9th, Jackpot €1050.00

Fly Fishing Competitions

Kinlough & District Anglers Association. Club Cup (Individual Catch) on Sunday May 26th 2013 at Breffni Pier from 12 noon to 6pm. O’Connor Cup (Boat Catch) on Sunday June 2nd 2013 at Breffni Pier from 12 noon to 6pm Entry Fee for each competition €20 per angler. Competitors in the above competitions must be members of Kinlough & District Anglers Association. However the good news is that competitors can join the club at any time right up to the start of the events. (Membership €20).

Community Games County Finals

The athletic community games county finals were held in St Claires Comprehensive School, Manorhamilton, on Sunday, 19th May there was a great turnout and well done to all who took part many thanks to Anne McGloin and Dymphna Keegan who did registration on the day. Good luck to Catherine Hill, Joshua Brennan, Marian Ferguson, Tara Dolan, Caolan Clancy and Iarlaith Keegan who go through to the all Ireland finals in Athlone in August.

Bio Diversity Week

A Walk and Talk takes place at Lough Melvin Eco Park, Kinlough on Saturday, May 25th at 3pm. Free. Everyone welcome.

The Real McCoy

The final showing in the North West of The Real Mc Coy ,in the Rainbow of Glenfarne Friday 31st of May. Tickets and €15. And proceeds are in aid of St Michael’s National School, Glenfarne.

“Green Ribbon Campaign”

This week at the Ballagh Centre the Thursday Club have invited Rachel Reilly from Mental Health Ireland to talk as part of the nationwide “Green Ribbon Campaign”. Rachel will give a talk specifically for older people around general awareness of mental health and information on what people can do to look after their mental wellbeing as they get older. Anyone in the area who is interested is welcome to come along between 11am-1pm on Thursday, 23rd May.

The Benwiskin Centre

COMMUNITY GARDEN PROJECT: Course has commenced on Mondays 9.30am – 11.30am at The Benwiskin and will run from April - Sept for approx. 22 weeks. Tutor Ciara Barrett from the Organic Centre in Rossinver. Contact us for further details and to register your interest.
