Elizabeth Gallagher

There was deep regret in the community of hearing of the death of Elizabeth Gallagher, Drumcolligan, Mohill who died last week in a Sligo hospital. Elizabeth, a retired nurse who worked in a Birmingham Hospital for many years, was a lady of deep faith. A dedicated nurse who was held in the highest esteem by colleagues and patients alike.

She was a very active member in the community who will always remember her with great affection. A wonderful sister and obliging neighbour, the very large attendance at her removal to St. Patrick’s Church, Mohill and again at her Requiem Mass on Monday morning last was indeed a fair indication to the very high esteem in which she, her brother Michael, cousin Kathleen and extended families were held in the community and to whom we offer our most deepest sympathy.

“Those we hold most dear never truly leave us. They live on in the kindness they showed, the comfort they shared and the love they brought into our lives”. May her gentle soul Rest in Peace.
