Gortletteragh Community Playgroup Gortletteragh Community Playgroup is now taking enrolments for September 2013. We cater for children from 2 years 6 months up to 5 years. We are also providing places under the ECCE scheme. If your child is starting primary school in 2014 and born between 02.02.2009 to 30.06.2010 they are entitled to avail of the free preschool year. Birth

Congratulations to Dymphna and Terry Kelleher, Corduff, Annaduff on the birth of their baby daughter Erin, a little sister for Leah. We wish the family God’s blessing in their lives.

Garden Open Day

A Garden Open Day will be held at Mary and Paddy Gillooley’s garden at Mill Road, Drumlish in aid of the Irish Cancer Society on Sunday, May 26th from 11.30am – 6.30pm. Please support, thank you.

Ladies Mini Marathon

A group of ladies from the parish are doing the mini marathon on Bank Holiday Monday, June 3rd, to raise much needed funds towards the community playgroup. They have sponsorship cards in circulation throughout the parish and in local business premiseses, so people are asked to contribute generously towards this worthy facility within the parish.

Recent wedding

Congratulations to Edel Rogan and Barry Bohan, who were married on Saturday last in St. Mary’s Church, Gortletteragh. The bride was assisted by bridesmaids Maria Mullen, June Bohan and Lisa Rogan. Best men were Paul Bohan, Damian Rogan and Shane Mullen. Guests enjoyed a reception at Kilronan Castle afterwards. We wish this couple many years of health and happiness.

Recent death

We tender deepest sympathy to Eliz and Tom Ward and family, Fearglass North, on the recent death of Eliz’s brother, Kenneth Hargidan. His funeral took place on Saturday last in Boston. May he rest in peace.

First Holy Communion

Congratulations to the boys and girls in the parish who received their First Holy Communion on Sunday last: Niamh Reynolds, Erin Reel, Caoimhe Morris, Ciaran Reynolds, Brendan Naughton, Cian McNulty, Shane Mulligan, Nathan Ward, Tom Crowe, Adam Reen, Adam Bohan and Elle Glaze.
