The late Billy Byrne

The death has occurred of five-year-old Billy Byrne, Cloonaghgowna, Boyle Road, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co Roscommon on Sunday, March 24th at Temple Street Hospital, Dublin.

Billy is survived by his heartbroken parents Cora and Tony and his sisters Cadhla and Ruby and his brother Ross, grandparents, cousins, relatives and a large circle of friends. Billy’s remains were removed from Temple Street Hospital on Tuesday, March 26th to St Michael’s Church, Drumlion for funeral mass. Burial afterwards took place in St Mary’s Cemetery, Carrick-on-Shannon. Our deepest sympathy to the Byrne and Guckian families on their sad loss. May his dear soul rest in peace.

The late Mary Molloy

The death occurred on Wednesday, March 27th of Mary Molloy (nee Maxwell), Elphin Road, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co Roscommon peacefully at her home. Pre-deceased by her husband Joe, Mary, a former nurse in St Patrick’s Hospital, is survived by her son John, daughter Catherine, daughter-in-law Leona, grandchildren Matthew, Paul, Hugh, Luke and David, brothers Michael and Aidan, sister Nancy, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Mary’s remains reposed at the home of her son John, Springfield, Boyle Road with removal on Saturday, March 30th to St Michael’s Church, Drumlion. Mass of christian burial took place on Easter Sunday, March 31st with burial afterwards in Drumlion Cemetery. May she rest in peace.

Play continues on Monday nights at 8pm in the Bush Hotel.

Mass will be celebrated in St. Patrick’s Hospital Chapel on Wednesday April 10th at 8pm.

Cakes, Books and Plant Sale in St. Joseph’s Centre, Leitrim Village on Sunday, April 7th at 10:15am Mass. All proceeds to the Community School, Carrick-on-Shannon to promote mental health, wellbeing and resilience among the students. Event organised by the Tuesday Scripture Group.
