‘Anyone Could Rob A Bank’

This play will be staged in Cliffoney on Friday 5th and Sunday 7th April, and in Kinlough on Saturday 13th April. All shows start at 8.30pm.

The comedy in the play occurs when a hypothetical plan to rob a bank becomes a reality. The plan is the brainchild of Badger Grey, a know all and a bluffer who believes it’s just a matter of plain common sense. He outlines his plan to his brother Jerreen and neighbour Windy O’Connell and when the local bank is robbed, each believes the other is responsible.

There is humour also in the vague, dreamy, somewhat absent minded Sarah: and the unrealistic aspirations of would be boxing champ Mickey. On a serious note, the play examines how deceptive perceived respectability and social and financial superiority can be. One is reminded of our recent history with our bankers and politicians. The play is set in the sixties and the action takes place over three nights.
