Sinn Féin councillor, Martin Kenny has repeated Sinn Féin’s call for a full independent investigation into the top-up scandal at a number of HSE-funded bodies.
Speaking in the wake of the resignation of Brian Conlon Chief Executive of the Central Remedial Clinic, Cllr Kenny has called on him to make a full statement to the Dáil’s Public Accounts Committee.
“From the outset we have called for a full independent investigation of the policy and practice of top-up payments to senior executives at HSE-funded institutions,” he said.
“It is important that we have a full understanding of the scale and extent of this practice. There needs to be full disclosure.”
