Last chance to register for Aodh Ruadh club membership if interested in All-Ireland tickets. There is less than a week remaining to pay your club membership for 2013.
There will be an open registration session for all comers this Wednesday, 27th March in Aras Aoidh Ruaidh from 7.30pm to 8.30pm Apart from this session, registration can be paid at Pearse O’Neill’s at the Bridgend, as well as to Mary Matthews in Shannon’s Corner.
Betty McIntyre is also taking registrations and can be contacted on 087 2363879. In order to be entitled to the rights of a full member, a person must have their fees paid to the club on a date before March 31st and be registered by the club on the online system in order to have a vote in the upcoming membership year.
Remember, 1. Only fully registered players on the GAA online registration system are allowed to take the field for the club. If your name is not in this system you are ineligible. That has repercussions in terms of insurance cover for injuries. 2. Registration is an important component in meeting the running costs of the club. 3. Only fully paid up members will be eligible for the draw for tickets to the football and hurling All Ireland finals. 4. Club membership will be displayed in Aras Aoidh Ruaidh.
Membership rates are as follows: Adult Player (Includes insurance cover for the year), €60; Adult non-playing, €40; Underage (Born 1995-2002 inclusive) €25; Underage (Born 2003-2013 inclusive) €15. The club requires a fully registration form with each fee.
Bring your scrap metal
The next collection for our aluminium fund raiser takes place on Saturday 30th March from 12 noon to 1am. All other scrap metal is welcome at this session There is now a drop off point for aluminium cans for recycling for Aodh Ruadh at Mace in the Saimer Court Shopping Centre. There was no winner of the €3,000 Aodh Ruadh Lotto jackpot last Sunday. The numbers drawn were 3, 6, 10, 12, 15 and 18.

Kinlough Women’s Writing Group
If you would like to get writing again, or to start writing, the Kinlough Women’s Writing Group is the place to be.
This popular and welcoming writing group is facilitated by Monica Corish, an AWA trained writing group leader whose poetry and fiction have both been nominated for the prestigious Hennessy Literary Awards.
The group meets once a fortnight on Wednesdays, and is suitable for both new and more experienced writers.
