Masses Monday 7pm followed by Exposition. Tuesday 9am. Wenesday 9am. There will be no morning Mass on Holy Thursday. Mass and ceremonies on Holy Thursday at 7pm. Introduction Liam Faughnan. There will be time sheet at the back of the church if you would like to fill in a time to sit with Our Lord so that the Blessed Sacrament is not alone. Good Friday Passion of Our Lord at 3pm. Jasmes Gill Cancer Fund
There will be a fundraiser in Duignans bar Drumsna on Easter Sunday night with music by Country One. There will also be a fundraiser in Cox’s Bar, Dromod on Friday night April 5th with music by Nando and Shandy, Admission is optional on both nights and all monies raised at these functions goes to the James Gill Cancer fund. It is imperative that James gets to America for treatment as soon as possible. The cost of this is up to €80,000. Tickets are also on sale for a draw that will take place in Taylor’s bar, Drumsna on April 20th. Your support for this brave young man will be very much appreciated.
Bingo continues in the Drumsna Centre at 8.30pm. Thursday night with an Easter special extra money on lines and extra draws. Last week’s winners included Tommy McLoughlin, Mona Foley, Raffle Rachel Murray, Maureen McLoughlin, Mary Beirne. Free books Charles Beirne, Majella Reynolds.
Drumsna Forioge club
Drumsna Foroige Club are holding their Annual Cake / Easter egg sale in The Centre Drumsna on Easter Sunday morning immediately after 9.30am Mass. Loads of goodies will be on sale with draw for Easter Eggs.You can have a cup of tea or coffee while supporting the young people. It would be greatly appreciated. Congratulations to the club on winning a prize in the creative section for their efforts at the St. Patrick’s day Parade in Carrick-on-Shannon in conjunction with the Landmark Hotel. If you would like to donate cakes, buns, etc for the sale the Community Centre will be open on Saturday evening from 7pm until 8pm.
Jamestown Community School
Jamestown Community school are hosting a fundraising ceili in The Community Centre, Jamestown on Saturday night, April 6th with music by members of the Moylurg ceili band. Admission is €7 and doors are open at 7.30pm.
Golden Age meeting
There will be a Golden Age meeting in the Centre Drumsna on this Wednesday, March 27th at 11am. Practice for Bealtaine takes place, please bring your scripts. The group send best wishes to the Treasurer Michael John Faughnan who is recuperating after surgery. We hope he will soon be as good as new.
There was no winner of the G.A.A./Parish Draw held in Duignan’s, Drumsna on Sunday night last.The numbers drawn were 3; 9; 21; 22. The winner of the €50 prize was Thomas Faughnan, Corduff. The winners of the lucky dip are as follows: Jonathon Harte, John Dowling, Doreen Ward, Patricia O’Reilly. The next draw is Cox’s Steak House Dromod in with a jackpot of €4,100.
Fundraiser for STOP
There will be a fund raiser for STOP (Suicide Prevention) in The Mulvey Centre Bowling Alley, Carrick, on Good Friday commencing at 4pm. €50 for teams of 4 for 30 minutes, there will be 1st 2nd and third prizes and loads of spot prizes. Come along and enjoy the day while helping a very worthwhile cause. Any help will also be gratefully accepted.
