Smoke and Mirrors in the Corn Mill Theatre
Killeshandra Arts and Drama Group present the premiere of the brand new musical play Smoke and Mirrors on Saturday 30, Sunday 31 & Monday 1 April, written and directed by Carol-Ann Farrelly in conjunction with the members of the cast in the Corn Mill Theatre, Carrigallen. Described as a musical soap this play snatches a look at life in Ireland today. It has all the ingredients.
Young love, old love, heartache, laughs, mystery, characters galore and original songs to suit all tastes. The story unfolds around two neighbouring families living in a village in Ireland, the O’Reilly’s and the Thorntons. It opens on the day young Joe Thornton arrives home from prison. Next door 18 year old Catriona O’Reilly likes what she sees. It’s a recipe for disaster? You can find out at the Corn Mill Theatre!

Wired to the Moon
ON Q Theatre present Wired to the Moon in the Corn Mill Theatre on Saturday 6 April. In Ireland, it seems, you can’t go wrong with Maeve Binchy, and these dramatisations of six stories from the 1980s capture the energetic essence of her best work - chatty, often hilarious depictions of the antiseptic pretensions of the middle classes, with their womenfolk forever in neurotic distress. Each story kicks off with a first-person monologue of a woman in a dilemma, often of her own making.
The supporting cast whirls through the blank, multi-purpose set, creating the world as seen through the typewriter of Maeve Binchy. Doors open at 8:00pm and show starts at 8:30pm. Booking at 049 4339612 or email@example.com
