New and used items need for Lucky Dip & Bric-a-Brac Stalls - CD’s/ DVDs, Books, Jewellery, Toys, Unwanted Gifts, Ornaments, Accessories, Games- including Board Games /Nintendo / XBox / Playstation etc. Uniform items such as School / Cub / Scouts /Dancing shoes/ Football boots etc..etc..etc. Drop your Lucky Dip/Bric-a-Brac items into Lyric offices High Street, Ballinamore - 9am to 5pm Friday 8th and Saturday 9th March... or bring to hall on Saturday 16th March between 5 and 9pm. Don’t forget bingo continues every Thursday night in the Community Centre at 8.30pm. Come along, you could be lucky. Think of all the things you could do with €8,275. This money is going to go some night soon. It could be you. Every Thursday the prize money is €1,100. AGM of Community Centre
AGM of the Aughnasheelin Community Centre will take place on Tuesday 12th MARCH at 9.00pm in the centre Everybody welcome. Functions for the coming August Weekend will be on the Agenda.

European Pool Championship
Congratulations to our Irish Team who won the european pool Championship last Friday week in Blackpool. They had to beat the English Junior Team in the semi-final, this English Team are the current World Champions and havn’t been beaten in this Championship since 2002. This was a very special achievement. The Final was played on Friday against Northern Ireland and once again our Juniors were victorious. This is the first time the Irish Junior Team have won this Title. The team consists of Kevin McWeeney (Captain), Aughnasheelin, Jamie Gaffney, Ballyfarnon, Keith Conlon, Dromahair, and Darragh O’Shea, Bawnboy, Adam Maher, Darren Redmond and Jordan Doyle from Wexford. They arrived home to a Civic Reception and then travelled to be interviewed on local radio, then to Carthy’s Leitrim Village. They appreciated everyone who came out to meet and congratulate them and many thanks to Carthy’s for the lovely food.
Set dancing classes
Set dancing classes have commenced on Saturday evenings in Aughnasheelin Hall. Classes are for Children 1st to 5th Class from 7-8pm. Adult Classes now commenced on Saturday 2nd March 9-10pm. Teams will be put together for the up coming fleadh in Ballinamore in April. For further enquiries please contact Leona on 087 9719913.
Community Centre AGM
A.G.M. OF Community Centre will take place on Tuesday all officers of local organisations are requested to attend this important meeting. On the Agenda will be a discussion on the August Bank Holiday weekend celebrations, and election of new officers.
Gardening & Art Classes
There will be a set of 5 Gardening classes starting Wednesday March 20th 7.30-9.30pm in Fenagh Visitor Centre. Also Art classes (oil painting) with Noreen Gaffney will also commence sometime in March/April (details not yet finalised) - please call 071 9645590 to register your name and for further info. Classes will go ahead if sufficient numbers.
St Patrick’s Day parade falling on a Sunday this year giving all of us a great opportunity to participate in the Ballinamore Parade. This is an open invitation to all groups and individuals to take part in an even bigger and better parade, with prizes for a number of different categorgies including best overall, best on foot, best float and many more with a new prize given to the best dressed spectator in their traditional green, white and gold....So root out those colours and make your way to the parade.
