Irish Scottish Wedding
Warmest congratulations to Joe Beirne, son of Peter and Anne Beirne, Drumgildra, and Cara McGregor, daughter of Gordon and Kathleen McGregor, Edinburgh on their marriage on Saturday, 2nd March last, in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Drumsna.
The Church ceremony was a very moving and prayerful experience enhanced by the music and song of Eimear and Andrew Reynolds and facilitated by Fr. John Wall. As the guests arrived they were welcomed by rousing Scottish music rendered by a Donegal piper who also played the beautiful bride up the aisle to the air of “She Moves through the Fair”. The groom, bestmen and the Scottish lads dressed in the kilts of the McGregor Clan added to the Scottish flavour of the day. A reception was held in The Landmark Hotel, Carrick-on-Shannon. For both the Scots and the Irish it was a most enjoyable occasion We wish Joe and Cara many happy years together.
