Mass on Thursday at 7.30 pm which is offered as a Month‘s Mind Mass for Paddy Connolly, late of Ardunsaghan. Vigil Mass for Pentecost Sunday on Saturday at 8.00 pm. Servers are Group 4 with Michael Maguire in charge. Eucharistic Adoration each Tuesday evening at 7.00 pm followed by Prayer Service with communion at 8.00 pm. Exhibition in Ballinamore Library
Bantracht na Tuaithne Seanfhocal (ICA Proverb Exhibition) is on display in Ballinamore library until Wednesday 29th May during Library Opening Hours: Monday, Wednesday and Friday 10 – 1.30 and 2.30 – 5.30. Tuesday and Thursday 10 – 1.30 and 2.30 to 8.00. Saturday 10 -1.30 and 2.30 – 5.00.
The Life and Death of Stars
Following a very successful and interesting talk by Christophe Lombardi on The Sky at Night in Ballinamore Library on 26th March, Christophe will give a follow up talk in the library entitled “The Life and Death of Stars” on Tuesday 21st May at 8pm. Anyone who has an interest in Astronomy or anyone who simply loves looking at the night sky come along and you will not be disappointed. Remember admission is free and all are welcome.
Drumreilly Community Playgroup
Drumreilly Community playgroup are now taking bookings for September 2013 free ECCE preschool places for children aged from 2 years and 10 months. Places are available to those children born between 2nd february 2009 and 30th June 2010. Part-time places are also available. Drumreilly community playgroup is an all inclusive HSE and pobal approved facility with both indoor and outdoor play areas.
Physically stronger Garadice Gaels collected their second brace of U-16 League points against Aughavas at the latter’s grounds on Monday of last week. Because of the late arrival of some of the home side’s players the first half was played as a nine-a-side. At the interval the visitors were in the comfort zone following scores courtesy of Michael Prior (2-3), Fergal McTague (0-1), Peter Prior (2-3) and Pierce Dolan (1-1). Play resumed in the second half with the full complement of players. While plucky Aughavas failed to translate a fair share of possession into much-needed scores the visitors the cohesive Gaels consolidated their position with further scores from marksmen Fergal McTague (0-1), Peter Prior (2-2), Stephen Meissner (1-0) and Donal McCabe (0-1). The following did duty for Garadice Gaels: Yann Le Guen, Donal McCabe (0-1), Ronan Maxwell, Jason Prior, Pierce Dolan (1-1), Fergal McTague (0-2), Michael Prior (2-3), Niall Stringer, Peter Prior (2-3), Stephen Meissner (1-0), Michael McTague and Ronan McTague.

McCartin SD Table Quiz
A fundraising table quiz will be held on Friday 24th March in Prior’s Bar, Ballinamore at 8:30pm. The proceeds are in aid of the McCartin SD trip to the UK Championships. Tables of four are €40. Plenty of fun guaranteed on the night. Your support would be greatly appreciated.
A superior Drumlea Girls team collected both League points against Bornacoola on Tuesday of last week. The Drumlea team was as follows: Megan Lavin, Michelle McCabe, Ella Quinn, Emer McCabe (1-0), Oníosa Mimna (0-1), Shauna Lavin (6-2) and Sinéad Edwards (1-2). Subs: Caoimhe Prior, Siobhán Maguire, Molly Prior, Ella Galligan Maguire and Caitlin Quinn. Unfortunately defeat was the lot of the boys later in the day, when a well-drilled Diffreen school quintet ran out deserving winners at Páirc Droim Oir Bhealaigh. While the Drumlea lads battled bravely against the odds up until the final whistle the final was never in doubt. Drumlea was represented by Conor Edwards, Cian Connolly, Hughie Maguire (2-1), Paul Sutherland, Seán Prior (2-4), Andrew McNiff and Rory Grassi.

Drumlea N.S. team collected its second brace of points, this time at Aughavas’ expense. The team was Michael McGirl, Niall Gallogly, Noel Rourke, John Donegan, Johann Hehle, Brendan Smith (0-3), Gene Connolly (0-3), Oliver Looby R.I.P (1-0), Tony Lunney (0-3), Joanne Holahan and Anne Lunney (0-1). Subs used: John McKeon, J.P. Gannon and James Holahan. They were later beaten 6-5 to 1-5 by Drumeela. Fr. John Quinn was appointed P.P. of Knockbride. Cara Denneny N.T. took up a teaching appointment in Ballinamore. D.J. Marty supplied the music at an enjoyable Disco in Drumreilly Community Centre. St. Mary’s Youth Band played at the Easter Rising 75th Anniversary commemoration at Arbour Hill, Dublin.
The following children received First Holy Communion: Breda Holahan, Lisa Mitchell, Francis Holahan, Shane Mitchell, Nigel Maguire, Tomás Fee, Marian, Mulligan, Stephen McManus, Gabriel and Ciaran Mitchell. Drumreilly scored a 5-18 to 0-7 Division 2 win over Drumkeerin, and also beat Aughnasheelin by 1-15 to 0-7. The death took place of Ardra-born Mrs. Annie O’Connell ,nee McGovern, Cahercon, Kildysart, Co. Clare R.I.P.
Active Age Snippets
A number of our Group recently went for a Day of Prayer in the Graan, Enniskillen. We also enjoyed the hospitality and dancing at the Annaduff Social in the Bush Hotel. Preparations are underway for our visit to places of interest in scenic Wicklow and Wexford on April 19th. We thank the members of the Annaduff-Drumsna, Fenagh, Aughnasheelin, Templeport, Killeshandra Groups and also non members for their support at our recent Bealtaine Social.
The recent bad weather resulting in unplayable pitches has caused cancellation of the Cumann na mBunscoileanna Girls Division 3 Drumlea v Cloone and the U-16 League Garadice Gaels v Annaduff games..
