Last performance

Due to popular demand Drumkeerin Drama Group is putting on one last performance of their much acclaimed production of Bernard Farrell’s great comedy drama ‘Say Cheese’ on Friday night, 17th May in Drumkeerin Community Centre commencing at 8.30pm. Doors open at 7.45pm. Already the play has attracted huge audiences over the performances. The Group very much regrets that so many had to be turned away from the door on the Sunday night as the Centre was full. So those who were disappointed on that night will have the opportunity to enjoy this outstanding production of comedy, drama and suspense as Bridie and Valentine, Ireland’s Happiest Couple, relive their wedding of thirty years earlier and the murky secrets as the action unfolds.

Lourdes Pilgrimage

The annual Kilmore Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes will take place from Monday, May 27 to Saturday, June 1 led by Bishop Leo O’Reilly. Summer Solstice Walk

A Solstice walk will take place to the megalithic tombs at Tullyskeherney, Manorhamilton on June 21. Watch the sun go down from this amazing archaeology site. See the typical U-shaped glacial valley of Glenade slip from sunlight to moonlight. Feel the presence of our ancestors at the burial sites and enclosures and hopefully hear a skylark at dusk. The Summer Solstice walk departs from Sir Frederick Hamilton’s Castle ruin and it will take two hours approximately to complete while the entry fee is €10 per participant. Photographic Exhibition

Manorhamilton Historical Society will stage the official launch of their Photographic exhibition in Manorhamilton Library Tuesday evening June 11 at 8.30pm. The admission fee to the launch will be €5. Mountbellew based highly respected local historian Dominic Rooney will give a presentation on the exhibition.

Memorial 5k Walk

Leitrim Association of People with Disabilities 5k Memorial Walk takes place on Sunday May 26 in Mohill at 12.30 pm. The Walk will commence from outside the Leitrim Association of People with Disabilities offices in Mohill.

Horse Riding Club

Leitrim Horse Riding Club are looking for new members and it is are hosting an open evening at Moorlands Equestrian Centre, Drumshanbo, on this Friday May 17 from 7pm. Members must be over 17 years of age, while all levels of riding experience welcome.

Yoga Sessions

Yoga sessions will take place in Cluainín Physiotherapy, Church Lane, Manorhamilton every Tuesday morning from 11.00am to 12.30pm for a five week term while for participants no experience is necessary. For further information please phone or text 087-2562515.

Old Tyme in Kilty

Due to renovations Old Tyme Dancing that formerly took place on Sunday nights in the Rainbow will now go ahead in Kiltyclogher Community Centre untilfurther notice. The first Old Tyme dance in Kilty will on this Sunday night May 19 when the Country Cousins will provide the music for all the dancing patrons.

Glens Centre

Nationally and internationally famed local based band Kila will perform at the North Leitrim Glens Centre on this Wednesday night, May12 at 8.30pm. On this Saturday night, May 18 the Glens Centre will present an intercultural film “Tapestry of Colours” at 7.30pm.


Bishop Leo O’Reilly will confirm thirty children from the local primary schools on this Saturday, May18 at noon in St. Clare’s Church. There will be a rehearsal for all receiving the sacrament of confirmation in St. Clare’s Church on Friday night at 8.15pm.

Farmers Market

The first Manorhamilton Origin Farmers Market of the month takes place on this Friday, Friday May 18 between 10am and 2pm in the Bee Park Community Centre car park.


Manorhamilton’s third bingo session of the month will take place in the Bee Park Community Centre on this Wednesday night, may 15 at 9pm. A good night’s entertainment is promised by the organisers.
