Defibrillator group – AED & CPR training

Defibrillator group – AED & CPR training

The Annaduff/Drumsna Defibrillator Group have recently joined forces with the Jamestown Defib Group and will now be known as Drumsna/Annaduff/Jamestown Defibrillator Group. We hope to hold a CPR & AED training session on 02/03/13 (approx 3 hrs) in Drumsna for people who wish to be trained in the use of an AED and CPR. Please ring or text 086 2639759 to book your place as we can only accommodate 10 people per session. Defibrillators are located at Killyfad, Derrycarne, Coolecrieve, Drumsna, Annaduff GAA Pitch, Drumsna Resource Centre and Jamestown Church. We look forward to meeting new members and remember this is your Community too.

International World Day of Prayer

The International World day of Prayer Service this year takes place in The Church of The Immaculate Conception Drumsna on Friday, March 1st at 8pm. The Host Country for 2013 is France. There will be a reception afterwards in the Community Centre, Quay Street.

Table Quiz

Roosky Church Renovation Committee are holding a Table Quiz in the Kon Tiki on Friday night next, February 22nd at 9pm. Table of 4 €40. Refreshments and Raffle on the night. Please support this worthy cause.

Cake Sale

Roosky Church Renovation Committee are holding a cake sale in the Old School, Roosky after 12 o clock mass on Sunday next 24th February. Cake donations and support needed.


Bingo continues in Drumsna Community Centre on Thursday night at 8.30 p.m.


Pilates in Annaduff N.S. on Tuesday nights for beginners at 8.15 p.m. and Intermediates at 9.15 p.m.

Ministers of the Eucharist/Word

Course Meeting will take place in Drumsna Church on tonight Wednesday, February 20th at 8 p.m.

Lotto draw

The Parish and G.A.A. Lotto Draw will be held in Cox’s Steakhouse, Dromod on Sunday next, 24th February with a jackpot of €3,900.

St. Mary’s Church

Please note change of Masses while St. Mary’s Church, Annaduff is being refurbished as follows: Masses will now be celebrated in Drumsna Church: Monday evening 7 p.m. followed by Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament until 8 p.m. Holy Hour Duty: Margaret Moffatt, Betty Plunkett, Bridie Cox, Maura Faughnan: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 9 a.m. (no morning Mass on Friday). Saturday evening Vigil Mass 7 p.m. in Drumsna and the 11 a.m. Sunday Mass will be celebrated in Annaduff N.S. Readers and Ministers for Annaduff will continue to take part at the Vigil Mass in Drumsna on Saturdays at 7 p.m.

Adult painting classes

Adult Painting Classes with Noreen Gaffney will commence in Drumsna Community Centre on Tuesday the 26th February, 7pm-9pm. To register or for further information contact Martina at 071 9625782.

Fundraiser for Alzheimer’s Unit

There will be a fundraiser for the Alzeimers Unit at St. Patrick’s Hospital in Carrick-on-Shannon with Eleanor Shanley and Charlie McGettigan on Sunday, February 24th at 8pm in St. Joseph’s Centre, Leitrim Village. Tickets for sale at €15 in P.O. and all the local Shops. Everyone is welcome to support this worthy cause.

Presentation Night

Tickets still available for our presentation night on Saturday next the 23rd February in Cox’s Steakhouse. Music on the night by Colm Mulligan, ticket price €20. Please contact Ann Marie on 083 1093332 for tickets.

Senior Training

Training continues Tuesday and Friday at 730pm at the pitch. All old and new members always welcome.

Sandra Earley 10km & 4km run/walk

A special 10km & 4km run/walk will take place on Sunday next February 24th in memory of the late Sandra Earley, Kiltubrid. The run will begin at 2pm from The Sheemore Inn, Kilclare, with registration starting at 12.30 on the day. Entry fee is €10 per adult/€15 per family with all funds raised going to The Heart Appeal at the Mater Foundation, Dublin. This is a special heart screening clinic for family members who have lost a loved one to Sudden Adult Death Syndrome. Operation Transformation

This is a great opportunity to get fit - get healthy - meet the neighbours and make new friends. We will be starting at the end of February so get your name on a team or organise your own team but get your name in before registration night.
