The Sacrament of Confirmation by his Lordship Bishop Colm O’Reilly takes place in Drumsna on Saturday May 4th at 2pm. It is strictly by Invitation only due to lack of space and the large number of children to be confirmed. The Confirmation will be relayed on screen in the Community Centre Drumsna for any one wishing to watch the ceremonies. Bishop O’ Reilly will also pay a visit to the Centre afterwards for refreshments.

Church seating

There will be help needed on Friday evening at 4pm to move chairs from the Centre to the Church and to put up bunting and flags. Also the moving back of chairs on Saturday after Confirmation .

May Madness Ball

The Golden Age May Madness Ball takes place in the Bush Hotel Carrick-on-Shannon on to-night Wednesday May 1st at 8.30pm. Music and dancing to Country Stars. Refreshments will be served. The group will be performing their annual ‘’May Madness’’ with a short performance called ‘’The Extremes.’’with Mammy Ella Gannon, Daddy Michael John Faughnan, Granny Peggy O’Rourke, nosy neighbours Mary Gilooly , Annie Mc Loughlin and Colleen Guckian, Sister Concepta Nuala Kennedy, Sister Benedict Liz Hughes, Sister Georgina Ann Walsh, crazy daughters Bernie Gill, Mona Foley, Maura Faughnan, Talent Judges , John Fitzgerald, Ruth Waller and John Waller. The Theme for this year’s Bealtaine festival is celebrating Creativity as we age and we have done that by writing, producing and acting our own piece. We would like also to wish Carrick Active age group good luck with their play in the Dock on Wednesday May 8th.


Bingo takes place on Thursday night in the Centre Drumsna at 9pm. Last week’s winners included Maura Bohan. Rosemary Mc Dermott. Raffle Noel McDermott, Colleen Guckian, Geraldine Bohan. Free Books Patricia O’Reilly, Liz Hughes.

Cairde Liatroim

Cairde Leitrim is holding a fundraising dance in the Bush Hotel Carrick on Thursday night, May 9th with T.R. Dallas, Mickey Clerkin, Sean McAloon, This is in aid of children with special needs, Tickets at door or from 086 2545613.

The Gathering

Annaduff Parish Gathering takes place on July 26th , 27, 28th. 2013. A wonderful programme of events is being planned for every end of the Parish. Tell all your friends and relatives to come home for this special time.

Art Classes

Drumsna Comhalthas are holding a Traditional session in McLoughlin’s, Drumsna on this Friday night May 3rd. All musicians singers and dancers welcome.

Diabetes Ireland

The Leitrim branch of Diabetes are holding their Annual sponsored walk on Sunday May 12th commencing at St. Mary’s Church Annaduff.
