Scór Bake sale a success
The Scór Bake sale held last weekend was a fantastic success. Many thanks to all the supporters who came along and contributed so generously, especially to those who made the effort to bake and drop off goodies, it was very much appreciated by the group, your support from the parish was fantastic. Congratulations to our raffle winners, Joe Flynn, St Mary’s Close, Carrick and Tom Guckian, Gowel on winning our 2 superb novelty cakes, baked and donated by Fiona Martin and Clare Noone. All roads lead to Derry this weekend where the main event is taking place in “The Venue” this Saturday at 3pm. There is a great contingent travelling from Leitrim, anyone of thinking of travelling last minute please contact Claire at 087-6472547 for tickets or any other details. The very best of Luck to our St Mary’s Ladies in the Figure dance: Laura & Claire Crossan, Ciara Fitzgerald, Sandra Butler, Caroline Conway, Karen Morgan, Sinead McKiernan & Katja Auhl.
Kilnagross National School
Kilnagross National School beat Cloone National School on Monday evening last. Wind assisted and getting off to a good start with a goal from Conor Hackett, Kilnagross picked off some nice scores to lead 4 goals and six points to 2 goals at half time. Further scores in the second half left Kilnagross finishing up easy winners but tougher tests will come. Kilnagross lined out as follows: Cillian Gaffey, Jack Aldridge, Aaron Aldridge, Hannagh Reynolds, Fintan Earley, Conor Hackett and Caoibhe McCrann.
