Confirmation: Practice for Confirmation will take place in Keadue Church Tuesday morning at 9:30am and conclude at 10:30am (approx). Practices for First Holy Communion will also take place in Arigna Church on Thursday. Details from the schools during the week.
Sacraments: Bishop Colm O’Reilly will administer the sacrament of Confirmation to 21 young people this Wednesday May 8th in Keadue Church at 3:30pm. (Please note time change). Then on next Saturday May 11th, 11 children will receive First Holy Communion in Arigna Church at 12 noon. Thanks to the parents and teachers who have helped all these young people prepare for these important occasions.

St. Ronan’s Lotto
There was no winner of the Lotto jackpot when the draw was held last weekend. The numbers drawn were 10, 12, 21, 22. Consolation prizes were won by the following: €70 Damien Duignan, Arigna, €30 Johnny Guihen, St. Ronan’s Park, €15 each Maureen Moran, Crossna, Edel McMorrow, Keadue, Padraig Murphy, Geevagh. The jackpot this week will be €7,500 and the draw will be held in Kilronan Castle.
Station Mass this Friday May 10th at 8pm. All from Carrowbeg and the surrounding townlands are invited for Mass in the home of Padraig Noone.

Kilronan Community Playschool, Ballyfarnon would like to thank everyone who came along and supported our walk last weekend and also those who sent in donations. It was a great example of community spirit and we hope you all enjoyed the tea and chat afterwards. We raised €510 which was huge when you think of our small population. Again thank you so much.
A very attended information evening on rainwater harvesting took place in St. Ronan’s Hall, Keadue. This was organised by Keadue Tidy Towns in conjunction with Roscommon Co. Council Environment section for Local Agenda 21 Scheme. Lazlo from Knockvicar Organic Gardanes was also present and explained with the help of the latest technology of growing vegetables in polytunnels. There are still a few raised beds available in the allotments in the sportsfield. The Tidy Towns commitee thank Lazlo and Gerry Golden for coming to Keadue and also Marion parker acting Environmental Officer, Roscommon Co. Council.
Crossna Players coming
For those who missed out on a chance to see the play “My Wife’s Family” staged by the Crossna Dramatic Group in Crossna Community Centre, the good news is that it’s coming to Keadue on Saturday May 25th. More details later.

Unveiling on TV
The unveiling of a bronze bust of Josie McDermott will be featured on Sky Television on Channel 191 on Thursday night at 9pm. Musicians from various parts of Ireland are featured. As well there were a number of speakers recalling Josie McDermott, the musician, the composer, the singer, and the playwright.
A new parish website has been launched recently. Check it out on www.Kilronanaparish.ie. The new website has a direct link to the cemeteries in Kilronan and Arigna. Here you will find the names and the locations of all graves. There is also access to many cemeteries all over Ireland. There is also a new e-mail address for sending material for inclusion in the Weekly Parish Newsletter- firstname.lastname@example.org
