Glenfarne Gala
A treasure trove of activities will take place from 1st August until 5th August at this year’s 44th Glenfarne Gala Festival. Some of the highlights of the famous family festival will include a walk on Thur Mountain; Fishing Competition; Duck Race and Car Treasure Hunt. Keep an eye on this space for more updates.
Alzheimer’s Tea Day
The Thursday Club will again be hosting a Tea Day for the Alzheimer Society of Ireland from 11am to 1pm on Thursday, 9th May at the Ballagh Centre, Rossinver. Dramatic cuts in health services, growing waiting lists and increasing numbers of people being diagnosed with dementia means the Tea Day is critically important. All money raised will help fund local Alzheimer services for families in County Leitrim. Everyone in the area is urged to drop in, have a cup of tea and donate to this very worthy cause.
