Meeting in Club Rooms

Meeting in Club Rooms

There will be a meeting in the club rooms Aughavas, tomorrow night, Thursday, January 31 at 9pm to discuss running a health and fitness programme in the parish. All adults are invited to attend.

Gym Instruction

There will be a demonstration on how to use the equipment in the gym this Saturday, 2 February at 11am. Anyone using the gym is asked to attend.

Dynamo Rooskey Indoor Soccer Tournament

An indoor soccer tournament will be held this weekend on Saturday 2, February and Sunday 3 February in Rooskey Complex. “€1,000 ” prize money. for more info or to enter a team contact Micheal Dooner on 087-9876150 or Aidan Reilly on 087-9725120.

Cloone Homecoming Festival and Schools Reunion

A Table Quiz will take place in Creegans Pub this Saturday 2 February at 9.30pm. Lots of prizes, come along and enjoy a good night’s craic. The committee would welcome more photographs and articles relative to the locality or schools. Items submitted will be scanned and returned.

Lecture on Killegar Papers

Leitrim County Library, Ballinamore, will host a lecture entitled ‘The Killegar Archive: a Leitrim treasure’ tonight, Wednesday, 30 January at 7.30 pm. The speaker will be Martin Morris, an archivist who worked on the papers. The collection is a unique window into the lives of members of the families for about three hundred years from before the purchase of the estate by Richard Morgan in 1734 to close to the death of his descendant Lord Kilbracken in 2006. Admission to this Lecture is free and everyone is welcome.

Mohill & District History & Heritage Group

A very enthusiastic meeting of Mohill & District History & Heritage Group took place on Tuesday January 22nd last in the Canon Donohoe Hall. After a lively discussion on local topics of historical interest, the group elected officers to a new committee. The next meeting will take place on Tuesday 5th of February at 8:00pm in the Canon Donohoe Hall. Anyone with an interest in the local history and heritage of Mohill and the surrounding areas are encouraged to attend. For further information:0876698458.
