Organised walks

Organised walks

Organised walks will commence on Sunday 3rd of February and continue every Sunday until the end of March. Walks will be varied and mainly around the parish of Kilglass. Entry fee; Adults €5, children €2, with a special family rate for over four members. Participants will be included in a draw for some excellent prizes. First walk will take place from Slatta church at 9am sharp on Sunday 3rd February. Everyone welcome.

Drama

Kilglass Gaels proudly present two one act plays in Kilglass Gaels centre on Friday, 15th and Sunday 17th of February 2013. More details to follow.

Active Retirement Group

Rooskey Active Retirement Group continues into its second year after a very successful first year. If you would like to join the group meet every Tuesday in the community centre at 11.30am. Membership for the year is only €7!

Senior Scor

County final takes place on Good Friday in Elphin, no preliminary rounds. Winners progress to Connaught final in Carrick on Shannon the following weekend. Anyone interested in taking part in figure dancing or set dancing, solo singing, recitation, instrumental music, ballad group, novelty act or quiz please contact Nuala Diffley as soon as possible. Thanks to all who have been in contact so far.

Lotto

Kilglass Gaels lotto result, lotto numbers are 6, 7, 21, 24, bonus 16. 2 x 3 number winners each receiving €100, Mary Macklin and Sheila Lawe.

Presentation night

A presentation night on Friday 8th of February takes place in Cox’s, Rooskey. All annual club awards will be presented along with senior ladies shield championship medals for 2012. Music by Marty.

Sympathy

Please pray for the repose of the soul of Pearlie Tiernan, Kilmore, mother of Maura Hughes, Carrigeen, whose funeral mass took place in Strokestown on Saturday last.

Please pray for the soul of John Francis Washington, late of Drumimore who died recently in England. May he rest in peace.
