St. Ronan’s Lotto
There was no winner of the Lotto jackpot when the draw was held last weekend. The numbers drawn were 4, 10, 12, 16. American Tea Party
An American Tea Party will be held in St. Ronan’s Hall next Saturday night April 13th starting at 9pm. Tickets are now on sale from the organising committee.
Enrolment for Strabraggan N.S. is from Monday April 8th to Friday April 12th. Parents of prospective pupils are invited to call to the school or to ring the school on 071-96-46140 for an Enrolment pack. An open afternoon for parents and pupils will be held on Friday April 12th from 1pm- 2:30pm.
Kilronan Community Playschool
Parents of children wishing to enrol in Kilronan Community Playschool, Ballyfarnon for September should contact Kathleen, our Playleader on 086-1263941. We currently have 15 enrolled for September with another 2 provisionally booked. Our new premises can cater for 20 but parents need to secure their child’s place now as there are so few left. We offer ECCE (free year) and CCS (subsidised). We are holding an 8K walk around Kilronan on April 23rd, leaving Ballyfarnon at 1:30pm to part fund our new building as the grant did not cover all costs involved. Other events are also planned over the coming months.
Trocaire Lenten Fund
Thanks to all who have left their donations into Trocaire. The final date for receiving donations to Trocaire is the weekend of April 13th/14th. Please change your coins into notes - it will make counting the collection a lot easier for us.
Annual Tea Day
Western Alzheimer’s Annual Tea Day is taking place this year on Friday April 26th. We ask you to please host a Tea Day for us on that day or on a day that suits you. Tea Day is our major fundraising event and all the money raised is channelled to secure help in your community all those families caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s Disease. St. Ronan’s GAA Gathering
St. Ronan’s GAA Club Gathering Sunday, May 5th in Kilronan Castle. Special guests Frankie and Garvan Dolan will be joining us for the evening and we are delighted that Frankie and Garvan will be bringing along the Andy Merrigan Cup. Tickets are €5 each and include full dinner and music with “the heebeegeebies”. Arigna and Ballyfarnon Playschools are holding a Kids Disco on Saturday May 4th at 5pm in Ballyfarnon Community Centre to raise funds for both Ballyfarnon and Arigna Playschools. Please support this joint community effort to provide preschool services to all the young children of the Parish.
