Simon Community Collection

The North West Simon Community would like to sincerely thank all those who assisted and supported our recent church gate collections. Total collected Tullaghan €52.71 and Kinlough €215.81. Money raised goes towards preventing homelessness in counties Leitrim, Sligo and Donegal.

Community Games Swimming

The results of Kinlough, Rossinver, Glenade and Tullaghan community games local swim trials which were held in Ballyshannon pool on Sunday, April 7 are listed below. There was a great turnout and we would like to thank Kieran Sommerville, Patricia Hill, Richard Evans and Catherine McGagh for their help on the day. Tullaghan Community Playgroup

Tullaghan Community Playgroup Ltd are reopening the after school service from Sept 2013. This service will provide childcare and homework support from primary school children from 2pm to 6pm Monday to Friday. A limited number of places will be available on the CETS scheme. We will also provide places on the CCS scheme (community childcare subvention). We are also currently enrolling in the preschool for September 2013, ECCE free places available.

Kinlough Community Garden

The Garden was set up five years ago with the help of the Organic Centre and meets on Mondays 12.30pm to 2.30pm. If you would like to grow fresh vegetables to bring home, come along and get involved, any Monday that suits, there is no charge (we get by on donations) and always a cup of tea going!

It is the most convenient and complete way to read all your favourite newspapers and magazines on one site. Users gain access to publications from within the library, from home and around the world on the day they are published. It is very easy to use with a simple interface and easy to use navigation tools. Readers can translate their newspaper into one of ten major foreign languages. There is page and article sharing, RSS and Blogging features you will not get with the traditional newspaper. It provides a global perspective on world events by delivering a wide range of publications to readers while at the library, at home and away. It is free if you are a member of the library. You can access it at the library website and click the Newspapers Online link on the left hand side.

ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH OFFICERS’ ASSOCIATION PRIMARY COURSE IN FOOD SAFETY: The course is suitable for any person currently working as a food handler in food retail, catering or processing. The course will be held on Saturday, 27th April 2013 from 10am - 6pm followed by the examination on Friday, 3rd May 2013 from 7pm - 8pm.
