Ardcarne Community Games
The county talent event for Community Games took place in Elphin on Sunday 24th March. Ardcarne were well represented in all events. Well done to Tara Noone in the Solo Singing and Grainne Beirne in the Solo Music. Congratulations to the Comedy Sketch group of Andrew Tiernan, Jim Harte, Ellen Daly, Clodagh Curry, Aisling Bruen and Kyle Keaveny who won bronze. Thanks to Geraldine Leydon and Claire Keaveny who looked after this group.
Amy Tiernan, Aine Harte, Isabelle Neary, Aoife and Cathal Guckian performed brilliantly to win 3rd place in the Group Singing. Thanks to Manager Anne Marie Harte.
Well done to Meadhbh Duignan who took home silver in the recitation event. Congratulations to the Gold Winners in the Solo Dance and Group Music events. We wish them all good luck in the
National Finals. James Doherty entertained the crowd with an excellent dance routine. Noelle and Laura Martin, Fiachra Henry, Niamh Clancy, Diarmuid and Lorcan Regan performed excellently in the Group Music. This title is now retained for the third consecutive year for Ardcarne.

The County Swimming Finals took place on April 7th in Roscommon. Ardcarne were proudly represented by 21 children. Well done to you all.
A record number of medals were taken home on the day. Bronze: Ellen Daly (U8 Freestyle), Cara Clancy (U14 Breaststroke), Fiachra Henry (U14 Butterfly), Cara Clancy, Caroline Doyle, Alana Noone, Róisín Henry, Maedbh Duignan, Niamh Clancy (U13 Girls Relay); Silver: Lorcan Regan (U12 Breastroke), Fiachra Henry, Jack McCawley, Nino Chilton, Lorcan Regan, Andrew Tiernan, KieranBeirne (U13 Boys Relay); Gold for Nino Chilton (U12 Breastroke) who will now go forward to the National Finals in May. Our sports day will take place on 6th May.
A meeting will be held in the sports complex on Tuesday, 9th April at 9pm to plan for this big day. All are welcome.
